Articles of Interest from Evan

I came across these articles today and thought that our class would find them interesting. I'm not sure how to post to Blackboard (of if I can) but I thought that I would share them with you incase you thought they would be appropriate to distribute to the class.

The first is on India's choice to hold-off on the introduction of GM foods in its food supply by holding back the release of a new type of eggplant:

Secondly, I found this article very interesting - it is about China's farming industry as a heavier polluter then its factory industry - very relevant to what we have been reading in Pollan's book:

Lastly is Michelle Obama's new task force against childhood obesity. Although we have not touched on health policy all that much in class yet (although the readings for this week seem to start) I think that this shows policy reflecting the thought of environmental causes of unhealthy lifestyles as opposed to the personal.
